Rad Plaid Is Our Best Bud!

Happy Tuesday! Tuesday? We don’t post on Tuesdays! We do when we partner with the amazing Rad Plaid and we need to tell y’all about it!

Rad Plaid is a web based service in Portland, Maine, meant to bring fans and musicians from the local music scene together, and it’s AWESOME!

Kelsea is the kind of person who is pals with a few local musicians and loves their work, but never knows who else to see when she wants to get out of the house on a night that none of them are playing. Well, with Rad Plaid, she can link her Spotify account to her Rad Plaid account, and they will give her acts for her to try out, based on things she’s already listening to! What?!? That’s magic!

Riley is the kind of person who is always listening to new music, and has a ton of faves in the local music scene. She can go search for them, and find out exactly when their next shows are going to be, and even purchase tickets right through Rad Plaid for some of the venues.

Rad Plaid is owned and run by the sweetest couple, Kait and Sterling, who moved back to Maine from San Francisco to slow down a bit, but didn’t know where to start when it came to seeing local music. So, they created Rad Plaid to make it easy for fans to find new music and old faves. They also wanted to make it as easy as possible for musicians to get their shows out there, and now it’s all in one place!

Go check out Rad Plaid; make an account and, whether your local or from away, make sure you check out some music this summer. Maine has an incredibly rich music scene, and Rad Plaid makes it so so easy to find someone playing at a venue you’ll love.

For those of you who check out Episode 023 on Weed Wednesday, you’ll learn how to win some tickets from Rad Plaid to an awesome local show, in just a few weeks!
