016: Mary Jane Crush Monday, or Moonshine Haze

This week, we had a new Stoner Sponsor, Seed Sound Herbals, based in Windham, ME, and these gal pals are in love. Talk about a Mary Jane Crush!

This shop is owned by Lauren, a certified medical marijuana caregiver and a clinical herbalist. And total fucking badass. She’s also a mama, and this shop had an amazing feel.

Not only is Lauren a caregiver for your marijuana needs, but she runs a full-on apothecary, with a goal of being as sustainable as possible, from the soil she grows her plants in, to the labels on her jars. The store has custom tea blends, one of which she sent home with Riley, some crystals, pipes, tons of herbs and tinctures, jewelry, and CBD products everywhere.

We went into Lauren’s office with her for our medical consult, and ended up leaving with a ton of goodies. For the show, we told her we wanted something that would keep us awake (sativa girls, what?!), but give Riley some pain relief as she waits for surgery for her backwards unicorn horn. Lauren sent us home with Moonshine Haze, which is a sativa dominant blend at 60% sativa, and is a cross between Nevil’s Wreck and Amnesia Haze.

Moonshine Haze is great for depression, so both the gal pals have been enjoying it since recording, and the pain benefits have been great, too!

It’s a bit of a trip from the Portland area to Seed Sound Herbals out in Windham, but it’s so worth it.
