005: Snack Sunday, or Brown Butter Cereal Treats
We all know what cereal these are made with, right? Like, we don’t have to say it?
We stole the recipe from The Smitten Kitchen, and followed it to a T, with one exception: salted butter, cause, as Kelsea says, “I don’t even fuck with unsalted butter. What’s the point?”
Here are a couple of pro-tips: watch the brown butter. It’ll melt, foam, then brown, but it burns fast!
Don’t bring the marshmallows past melty. If you do, they’ll start to caramelize, which will turn them into that hard, disappointing bar that you get out of the package.
When they’re all done, they should look like this! Good luck letting them cool enough to cut them - we managed to have some resistance, but only for y’all.
