018: Mary Jane Crush Monday, or Small Farma Hemp
This week, our Stoner Sponsor is a CBD-only company based here in Portland, Maine, that we’ve been super excited to check out. We got an awesome goody bag from Small Farma Hemp, and we’ve been stoked to try out these amazingly made products.
Small Farma Hemp is a CBD-only provider based in Portland, Maine, but you can find their products in stores throughout New England, including Atlantic Farms, Elise Marie Designs, and Soma Massage and Wellness in Portland, Kindlab in Beverly, MA, and Holy Smokes, in Newport, RI. They’re committed to making quality products in small batches and we’re so stoked to have partnered with them.
Kelsea had a chance to meet up with Brooke, who owns the company with her partner, Tim, and chat about why they do what they do. Brooke & Tim moved to Maine to be able to access a slower pace of life, as well as be closer to the farms that grow the hemp they work with. They’re super committed to making products that they use, and just want to ensure that folks have the easiest access possible to CBD, which is beneficial for pain, inflammation, and anxiety, among other things.
Brooke gave us a few of their delicious lollipops, some of their Sexy Friend Cream, which is meant to be used externally, as well as a tincture and some CBD honey. We tried the lollipops before we started recording, but we’ve been in love with the other products since.
As a little bonus since we didn’t have a Snack Sunday for you this week, Riley is sharing her recipe for CBD Hot Cocoa, which has been helping her get through a rough work week!
8 oz of milk
4 squares dark Lindt chocolate (grated)
4 squares white Lindt chocolate (grated)
Falf dropper full of 300 mg CBD oil from Lady Jane
Teaspoon of 100 mg CBD honey from Small Farma Hemp
Packet of nestle hot chocolate
Warm the milk in a double boiler, and melt in the grated chocolate, as well as the hot cocoa packet. Once your cocoa is up to temp, whisk in the CBD honey. Pour mixture into a travel mug, add the CBD tincture, and shake it up, which gives it a great froth (or use an immersion blender!). Riley strongly suggests you serve this with whipped cream and nutmeg.
